First of all, we make a new file size of 1500 x 1500px with a resolution of 300ppi. I use 300ppi, because digital painting is a raster image. If a time will be needed in large measure, would be very helpful.

Step 2
Digital painting requires a pen tablet, such as wacom, genius, etc. (unless you can use the mouse, the which is impossible haha! Because I never tried it). And we will use the brush tool from the sketch stage to the end.

In photoshop there is such thing as pressure controls opacity Tablet (tablet pen pressure set the opacity) and pressure controls size tablet (tablet pen pressure set the brush size) that will be very useful in this process. Just click the icon (red marks) to activate.

Then set the brush size to 3px and hardness of 100%. (Blue marks)

Create a new layer, and began to make sketches. Use your pen pressure to adjust the thickness of the resulting thin brush (do not be afraid of bad, because this is just a sketch).

Set brush size to 60px and hardness down to 0%. Because we will add a more subtle shade than before.

Step 9
Now we will give fur. Set brush size to 2px and raise the hardness to 100%. guide grooves make bold feathers that have been made.

Step 10
In a setting that is still 20% opacity, change the brush color to white. Follow the path that has been thickened hair (keep out of the shadows, to make it look realistic).

Step 11
As I've said from the beginning, sketch the outline only for guidance. Now we hide the sketch layer, to the left as it is drawn.

Step 12
Because the sketch layer already in the hide, then every line of the edge looks very messy (take it easy, this is really reasonable). At this stage, we will tidy up the messy parts.

Eye Dropper tool will help us in this stage. Stick with the brush tool, then hold alt to switch temporarily to the Eye Dropper tool and click to take a color sample.
Take the sample color that is closest to the edge, then use the brush to after finish. Follow the path and give the tip of the plume as finishing.
